From the get-go, this couple knew they wanted to bring the Italian Coast to Maryland for their June wedding in Annapolis! Hanna + Jamie wanted an al fresco vibe that felt simultaneously elegant and organic. To bring their vision to life, they enlisted the help of Simply Chic Events. Samantha and her team knocked this one out of the park, creating an effortlessly stylish reception at the family’s home overlooking the water! Incorporating natural elements like our whitewashed farm tables and crossback chairs gave the space a warm, laid-back vibe that still felt elegant! Simple greenery and florals in a neutral color palette were accented with loose lemons and pots of rosemary, and our Allegra Seagrass Chargers brought in nice texture that perfectly complemented the hand-painted china.
Frida Kahlo Inspired Editorial for Modern Luxury Magazine || National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D.C.
We had the opportunity to collaborate with some of our all-time favorite vendors for a stylish editorial for Modern Luxury Magazine! Designed to promote the new event space at the National Portrait Gallery, this amazing table set-up dreamed up by the crazy talented gals at Grit & Grace was allll about Frida Kahlo. Think midcentury modern meets desert vibes meets vivid colors! These our some of our absolute favorite design elements, and we were super psyched to break out some of our brand new pieces and debut them in this amazing editorial!
The focal point of the set-up was one of our Kalorama Black Tables topped off with our Union Metal Truss. We adorned the truss with an assortment of vintage amber lights and rattan lanterns, plus lush florals by Sweet Root Village! As soon as Grit & Grace explained their inspo to us, we knew we had to incorporate our new Wye Wishbone Chairs. Their honey-colored finish perfectly contrasted the black farm table, plus they incorporated the midcentury vibe we were all going for! Details like our bright kilim rugs, jute chargers and colorful mixed vintage goblets were the perfect finishing touches. All in all, we couldn’t be more excited with how this editorial turned out, and we can’t wait to get into the National Portrait Gallery for some real events in the very near future. We hope you love these pics as much as we do!! ✌🏻
We’ve been adding so many fun pieces to our collection lately, and we’re beyond excited to share some pics of our newest inventory with you! From lounge groupings to textiles to tables, there’s something for everyone. All summer long, we’ve been hard at work reupholstering and refinishing some beautiful vintage sofas and chairs. Our warehouse might feel like a sweltering sauna most days, but our incredible team powered through and we could not be more stoked with the results! In addition to upholstered furniture, we’ve added a whopping three new chair styles to our inventory! Louis French-style chairs like our Roux are classic and elegant, while options like our Wye have a more mid century vibe. We even added a super cool black dining chair option perfect for a stylish wedding ceremony or reception! Whether you’re looking to feature a fun seating area at your next event, or are in need of a chic reception set up, our new pieces our sure to wow your guests.
When this sweet couple reached out for event styling and florals, they were recently engaged and struggling to bring their vision to life for their big day! Enter SVR. Angela + Jarrod wanted an intimate November wedding, and right away, we felt that their vibe meshed sooo well with our personal style. Basically, it was a match made in heaven!
We opted for a super neutral color palette since Angie has been partial to white her whole life. We also brought in wool and leather as key elements to cozy up for this winter wedding.
For cocktail hour, we styled in a mix of upholstered pieces for guests to lounge on. We opted for classics like our Harrison Tufted Leather Sofa and Georgetown Leather Chairs, in addition to our brand new Robin Chairs! To tie everything together, we brought in the warm wool white and gray pillows. For their intimate reception, we incorporated family-style farm tables with knit accents, raw wood, and leather details for a warm and inviting feel. This was our Plan B because it was too wet and cold for outdoor dining, but I think it ended up just as good as Plan A.
We kicked off fall wedding season with a fun one! Brandi and Keith are both from Southern Maryland, so they opted for an early October wedding in Huntingtown, MD. For florals, they brought in lots of fall colors like purples and deep reds, but the couple also chose to incorporate some lighter hues throughout their big day! For their reception, Brandi and Keith gave guests a place to relax with a custom lounge package complete with blue velvet favorites like our Chesapeake Sofa and Faye Dusty Blue Chair. They also brought in a mix of pieces with reclaimed wood elements like our Logan Arbor and Columbia Whitewashed Bar. All in all, this couple’s big day had a light and airy feel that was focused on fun!
