The Something Vintage team was so awesome to work with on our selection of farm tables, head table chairs, guest chairs and couches, tables and games for the lawn. The team was so helpful as we put together their perfect pieces for the wedding. Throughout the process as we added things they were responsive and helpful. When you see all of their inventory you are blown away at the selection, but seeing it all at Shadow Creek for our wedding was perfection. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience and what it did to make the wedding so beautiful!
Set the Vibe - Spread the Joy
Who we are
We are a bada$$ team led by women who want to make the world a more bright and happy place to live, radiating positivity and kindness wherever we go. We aren’t afraid to push design boundaries, and we believe in supporting local makers to give your event a bespoke touch. We like to think of our SVR team as family, and we’ve made it our mission to create jobs to sustain and build people up who deserve opportunity, especially BIPOC and other minorities.
What we do
Since launching in 2012, Something Vintage has been obsessed with curating a collection of trend-setting rental pieces that create fun, joy filled, and memorable events. We believe in sustainability – giving new life to old pieces and creating opportunities for local makers. That’s why we build and craft much of our inventory in-house. We believe in the inherent beauty in handmade and vintage items, and we put our blood, sweat, and tears into each and every piece we design.
Our brand is guided by the desire to bring joy into the world of events with well-curated and one of a kind rental inventory. We are dedicated to finding quality pieces that have a story, and more importantly, to helping clients tell their own stories. The events we help to produce are not only creative and fun experiences, but are executed flawlessly. We support our clients and vendors at all times by employing awesome and diligent team members to keep events on schedule and drama-free.
Our Farm Tables
We craft our authentic farm tables from centuries-old, salvaged wood sourced throughout DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Each reclaimed wood farm table has unique saw marks, nail holes, and time-worn impressions that tell the story of the barns and buildings from which they were salvaged. At Something Vintage Rentals, we believe that beauty is in the details – details only found in hand-hewn, reclaimed wood. Our standard farm tables are 96 inches by 42 inches, and seat 8-10 guests comfortably depending on layout. Slightly wider than the average farm table, our beauties are perfect for family-style meals, making weddings and events feel beautiful and intimate, no matter the guest count!
At Something Vintage, we hunt down forgotten vintage furniture and beautify each piece by hand so they not only look picture-perfect for your event, but are also truly one-of-a-kind! We believe handmade and authentically vintage are worth the sweat, time, and tears it takes to bring these beauties back to life. At Something Vintage, you’ll find the pieces we’ve curated, crafted, and loved – we can’t wait for you and your guests to love them too!
The story of Something Vintage actually begins with our china! Years ago, Dawn fell in love with the intricate floral designs on vintage plates and teacups while sourcing pieces for her very own wedding. Things snowballed from there, and a couple of years and many rentals later, we started working with local potters to create our very own custom collections. We now have a pottery studio in our warehouse in Temple Hills, and with the help of our resident potter, Cole, we are creating new collections left and right! For each collection, we make our own custom glazes, and many come with hand-painted 22k gold rims that elevate events with their authentic details and imperfect perfection.
It's a rave!
I always love working with Something Vintage. They have a great inventory of lovely items. Their office is prompt and professional. Their items always come in great condition and they do great with delivery and breakdown, even at events that require a quick turn around for those services.

Our rentals from Something Vintage totally completed the look of our wedding. We did a nontraditional backyard wedding and had a lot of pieces that we made ourselves (ex. benches). The farm tables and chairs we got from Something Vintage were gorgeous and fit in so perfectly that our guests asked if we made them as well! They were so beautiful that our guests used them as a backdrop for photos. Delivery and pick-up was very efficient and easy. Highly recommend using them.
I just wanted to send you a quick note of thanks for providing just the perfect touches to our presentation! The furniture was gorgeous, and I know this might seem like a small detail, but I so loved seeing everyone holding the gorgeous glass wear! Our cocktails looked so pretty, and perfectly on brand! It was a crazy day with some extra challenges of traffic, etc. and quite an undertaking, but the team did an AMAZING job, and I can’t thank you enough for being a part of it. Please convey my heartfelt thanks to your team, and can’t wait to share more stunning images!

The lounge set and bride/groom seating we added to our wedding from Something Vintage were perfection! It was the icing on the cake that was our romantic industrial themed wedding at The Winslow in Baltimore. The pieces we chose so perfectly suited our style and colors, but their whole inventory is drool-worthy! From my initial inquiry clear through day of and follow-up, their people were a dream to work with. Professional, flexible, and responsive. We cannot thank them enough for their customer service and helping our wedding vision come together!
Just wanted to send a quick note thanking you and your wonderful team for all their hard work on the Miller wedding! It turned out even better than we pictured and we couldn’t have done it without you!! Hope you have an amazing birthday and I am excited to work with you again soon!

My husband and I used some gorgeous upholstered sofas and chairs from Something Vintage for our backyard wedding. They were in excellent condition and made for a super fun photo-op spot, as well as a gorgeous backdrop for our ceremony. From product selection to service, I can't recommend them enough.
Oh Dawn - thank YOU. It was such a huge effort to make it all the way to NYC for you guys and I so appreciated your help on all of it. Thank you guys for jumping in and helping so much. And thank you for all the amazing pieces you gave us to use— that white couch looks so amazing in all the photos. Hope to work again together really soon!

Meet the SVR Team
Founder + Creative Director
Patina-stalker, mother to Hank and sweet girl June, gardening maven, pug-lover, native Hoosier, and wanna-be power weight lifter. She loves a good glass of Merlot or sour beer and just can’t say no to anything Italian. After a career as a terrorism analyst, she decided hoarding beautiful, old things was much more enticing and created Something Vintage. Her wonderful husband Zach manages to tolerate the crazy all the while crafting amazing custom pieces for clients. Dawn’s love for vintage furniture stems from the meticulous details that are so elusive today – hand-tufted velvet, carved wood trim, intricate floral-patterned plates – these are the things that bring her joy. Her work has been featured in Style Me Pretty, Grey Likes Weddings, Washingtonian and more. She is passionate about breathing life back into forgotten pieces and celebrating the beautiful details that are true rarities in our modern age.

Our social media guru who has most likely stalked your Instagram page. After working in event planning, Lindsay was drawn to Something Vintage where she discovered her love for design and styling. Lindsay had been with the SVR team since November 2017.
Gus, aka Gusito (Gus-EE-toh) our Warehouse Manager extraordinare. He has worked for us since 2015, starting as a part-time delivery driver and now an incredible manager. He’s a big fan of tie dye, secret maker of incredible sammiches, wonderful dad, and an avid vegetable gardener. When our dear Rosy’s husband passed away, Gus was the first to ask to bring her dinners and meals. His kindness is only matched by his smarts – he always gets orders correct when pulling them and frequently even catches our mistakes! We are so grateful for Gusito! Be sure to say hi to him if you are picking up from our warehouse or if he is delivering to your event!

If you see Marq out and about, he is probably wearing cool sneakers or fun socks that he designed because he owns his own clothing design company!
