A little over a month ago, we were asked to partner with an amazing team of vendors to put on a surprise wedding for a couple who was originally set to get married with a large 400 person celebration! Due to COVID-19, this sweet couple had to postpone, but along with The Knot, Angelica & Co. Weddings, Kir Tuben Photography, and Springvale Floral, we were able to give them a beautiful celebration alongside their closest family and friends. This 15 person micro wedding included an intimate ceremony at the DC War Memorial followed by a beautiful backyard reception at the couple’s home in Washington, DC. Along the way, they stopped for photos in front of some of the city’s most iconic architecture, and even sported face masks custom embroidered with their wedding date for some of the pics! While the day wasn’t what they had originally planned, this duo went with the flow, shifted their wedding plans, and embraced a more intimate micro wedding fitting for the times! Family and friends who weren’t able to attend were able to enjoy both the ceremony and reception through Zoom, making their special day even more meaningful.
MASK UPDATE! We have officially donated 5,000+ Victory Masks to hospitals throughout DC, MD, and VA. So far we have donated face masks to MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Children’s National Hospital, UM Prince George’s Hospital Center, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, DC Coalition for the Homeless, Sibley Memorial Hospital, Doctors Community Hospital, and numerous senior care facilities! We could not have achieved this amazing milestone without the help of our generous volunteers, and we are SO grateful to them for helping us sew and distribute masks to our frontline healthcare workers.
For the past year or so, Sarah Bradshaw has been organizing shoots to showcase various color palettes. It’s always a fun opportunity to get creative, work alongside a team of our insanely talented friendors, and to show off some of our favorite pieces. Plus, we always get the most beautiful photos back from Sarah! This particular shoot was centered around the color camel. Modern design elements contrasted nicely with free form flowers, rattan furniture, and bohemian design elements. Recently published in Moevir Magazine’s May issue, we loved going back through these photos and reliving some of our fav shots!
