In the past few years, we’ve seen more and more couples getting creative with their wedding escort card displays. Obviously, we’re all about this! Since they’re typically displayed at cocktail hour, escort card displays are a great way to set the tone for the event. They can pull from the wedding’s overall color palette, tie in with decor featured in the reception space, and showcase the couple’s personality. With wedding planning season in high gear, we thought we’d look back at some of our all-time favorite wedding escort card displays. We found so many goodies in the archives! In the coming weeks, we’ll be featuring them in not one, not two, but THREE posts dedicated to some of the coolest, chicest, most inspired escort card displays we’ve been a part of. Without further ado, let’s get to it…
The Takoma Whitewashed Round Table
First up, we’re featuring this charming display dreamed up by Kim Newton and photographed by Lieb Photographic! When people think about displaying escort cards, they often think of an escort card wall. We’ve seen some truly epic escort card wall displays out there, but we also love it when clients think outside of the box and display their guests’ table assignments in a different way. For this dreamy setup, Kim Newton rented one of our Takoma Whitewashed Tables. She called in the team at Floral and Bloom to top the table off with moss and a stunning floral display. Kelsey Malie calligraphed guests’ seating assignments on blue butterflies which were tucked into the overgrown florals. The result was gorgeous and absolutely wowed the couple’s guests!
The Fitzgerald 6′ Natural Wood Bar Back
Bars and bar backs can be used in so many unique ways! One of those ways? For displaying escort cards, of course! At this wedding at Salamander Resort, Sarah Kazemburg used our Fitzgerald 6′ Bar Back to showcase guests’ seating assignments. Darling & Daughters decked out the Fitz with gorgeous florals, and Sarah incorporated framed photos of the couple for a personal touch. Available in both 6′ and 12′ configurations, our Fitzgerald Bar Back’s classic style makes it perfect for creating elegant and timeless escort card displays.
The Misha 12′ White Escort Shelf Display
It’s always fun to see how different clients use the same pieces in unique ways! Designed to be used for displaying escort cards or favors, the Misha offers eight convenient shelves and plenty of white space at the top so you can add your own custom signage. In the pictures below, you’ll see the Misha featured in four different weddings. East Made Co. used the Misha for a wedding at the Baltimore Museum of Art. As a nod to the venue, guests’ table numbers were attached to mini gold busts. Lisa Gaskarth of Eight Seven Events played off of the couple’s last name and decked the Misha out with dozens of miniature gold disco balls. Jessica Ashley paired the Misha with our Hudson Mailbox, and displayed love notes written for each guest. Finally, Kim Newton created the wall of our ombré dreams by decking out the Misha with our handmade bud vases calligraphed by none other than Leah Letters. Each display is so special and specific to the couple, which is why we love a dramatic, personal escort card wall display!
The Tatum White Midcentury Shelf
For this elegant wedding at the Fairmont Washington, Kim Newton opted for something simple yet timeless. To create this effect, she displayed glasses of champagne on our white Tatum Shelves. Each glass was topped with an elegant scroll, each of which had been calligraphed with a guest’s name and table number by Kelsey Malie. Like our Fitzgerald Bar Back, you might not initially think escort card display upon looking at our Tatum Shelves. All it takes is a little ingenuity and a piece can be totally transformed!
The Largo & West White Slatted Backdrop Panels
This next wedding is a perfect example of how a couple’s personality can really shine through their escort display! Inspired by this foodie couple’s love for trying new restaurants, Grit & Grace mounted monogrammed matchboxes in small wood frames. Frames were adhered to our Largo and West white slatted panels which flanked our Basquiat Customizable Painted Panel. Grit & Grace had us paint the Basquiat a deep teal color and topped it off with a custom decal that pulled from the couple’s modern color palette. Grit & Grace always comes up with the biggest, baddest, most creative escort card displays, and this baby is no exception. Not only was this escort card display super chic, it also told a part of the couple’s story which is what it’s really all about!
The Milo Wood Midcentury Shelf Set
We’re wrapping up our first installment with this earthy escort display courtesy of Sam Crew of Simply Chic Weddings & Events! For this display, Sam decked out our Milo Wood Midcentury Shelves with an assortment of potted plants. Each pot was calligraphed with guests’ table assignments by Proper Letter Co. The curved lines of the Milo worked so well with this display, which felt earthy, organic, and a little bit boho! All in all, it was the perfect fit for this couple’s wedding, which they held at their family home.
We hope you’re feeling inspired by this first batch of escort card displays! We’ll be back soon with our second and third installments where we’ll be serving up even more epic wedding escort card display ideas. Stay tuned!
