Bold design was front and center at this vibrant Dock5 wedding! Planned and designed by Vieira Events, Julie & Patrick’s big day didn’t shy away from color. They transformed the industrial space with luxe velvet fabrics, midcentury elements, and an array of disco balls which they hung from the ceiling alongside colorful florals courtesy of Sophie Felts. The result was a fun-filled, vibrant wedding which felt effortlessly cool!
For the couple’s ceremony, our Wyn Chuppah took center stage! The team at Sophie Felts decked out the Wyn in vibrant florals, resulting in one of the coolest ceremony backdrops we’ve ever seen. With flowers like these, you’ve gotta make the most of them! The couple repurposed the Wyn for their reception, placing it over their head table for a dramatic effect.
One thing we hear over and over again from past brides is how happy they are that they chose to incorporate soft seating into their wedding design. Not only are lounge areas a popular spot for guests to mingle and relax, they’re also a great way to cozy up a big, industrial space like Dock5. For this seating area, Julie with Vieira Events opted to incorporate luxe velvet pieces in an assortment of hues. Pulling from the couple’s unique color palette, she designed this custom lounge package around our Wilder and Mulligan sofas. The sofas were then paired with one of our Lola Settees and Jones Chairs. The seating area was centered around our Crispin Coffee Table and small touches like our Duke Triangular Nesting Tables brought in a midcentury feel.
In keeping with the couple’s eclectic vibe, the reception space was filled with a mix of different table styles. Round and square tables were topped in luxe velvet linens. The chartreuse and deep teal hues of the linens mimicked the color palette of the couple’s seating area and helped tie the reception space together. Table settings varied table to table, but square tables were set with our Noah Chargers which were topped with retro-inspired menu cards designed by Emily Baird.
With the help of our Wyn Chuppah, the couple’s head table was a major focal point of the reception space! To create a dramatic head table, Vieira Events set up three of our Waterfront Tables in one long row. Inspired by George Nelsons’s slatted coffee table design, our Waterfront Tables feel simultaneously modern and retro which was perfectly in line with this couple’s design choices. Tables were paired with our Alix Rattan Chairs and topped with our Circe Chargers, Nico Flatware, and Sabrina Glassware.
We love a Dock5 wedding and this one blew it out of the park! We could not be more obsessed with this couple’s vibe, or the combination of bold color and retro-inspired design elements. The result felt laid-back, stylish, and SO cool! Julie & Patrick, can we be friends?!
