Industrial chic was on the menu for Katherine and Ross’ wedding at AutoShop in Washington, DC! With the help of their planner, Erica Natal of Ida Rose Events & Design, the couple opted for a classic black and white color palette. Bright pops of colors like bold pinks, oranges, and yellows provided contrast and were brought in through pieces like the stage’s backdrop and lush, over-the-top florals by Sweet Root Village.
Industrial Chic
AutoShop’s industrial vibe was the perfect backdrop for the big day, and the couple brought the space to life with unique and colorful rental furniture and decor elements. A mix of textures and colors were incorporated throughout the space, resulting in a fun and festive vibe. We seriously can’t stop obsessing over all the details! From the outdoor cocktail hour which featured our Birdie White Cocktail Tables and Bar Stools to the orange phone booth the couple used to create an interactive guest book, the space was filled with show-stopping rentals. The result? A modern, industrial chic wedding that wowed the couple’s guests!
Cocktail Time
Cocktail hour was held on the rooftop patio, so guests were able to take in the Washington, DC skyline while sipping signature cocktails. An all-white statement bar was the focal point of the space, which the couple complemented with our Birdie White Cocktail Tables and Bar Stools. The geometric wire design of the cocktail tables and bar stools was perfect for the industrial setting and their crisp, white finish was right in line with the modern color palette.
Hold the Phone
One of our favorite design elements from the day was Katherine and Ross interactive guest book! The couple created a whole moment with our Bronx Orange Phone Booth. The result made for a great photo-op AND a unique spot for the couple’s nearest and dearest to sign their guest book. The incredible team at Sweet Root Village decked out the phone booth with a custom floral installation that featured lush flowers in a variety of sunset hues and plenty of citrus!
Let the Fun Be GIN
As guests entered the reception space, they were offered signature cocktails served up in our Estelle yellow champagne coupes. A sleek, black cocktail display wall courtesy of Social Supply was the perfect backdrop for the coupes. The black finish contrasted beautifully with the rich, yellow hue of the Estelle champagne coupes and the display offered a unique twist on a traditional reception bar. Topped with a sign that read “let the fun be GIN”, this specialty drink display was a show-stopper!
Stock the Bar
The couple’s epic cocktail wall was supplemented with multiple bars scattered throughout the reception space. The bars were stocked with a variety of glassware, including a mix of vintage goblets and more modern styles like our Aurora Collection. In addition to our Gaia Mixed Vintage Water Glasses, the couple opted to bring in some color with vintage glassware like our Bree Blush Goblets, Cerise Estelle Pink Champagne Coupes, Rowan Amber Yellow Goblets, and Sunshine Yellow Goblets.
Lounge It Up
To soften up the industrial setting, Katherine & Ross set up inviting seating areas so guests had a comfy spot to relax and take a break from dancing. Neutral pieces like our Lola Black Velvet Settee and Adeline Wood Coffee Table were the perfect foundation for one of these seating areas. The furniture was topped off with funky pillows and florals for a pop of color that tied the whole look together. To give the lounge even more depth and texture, the couple used pillows like our Daffodil Pastel Yellow Velvet Pillow and Rory Blush Pink Tassel Pillow. Their seating areas get a gold star for sure!
Let Them Eat Cake
We love it when the couple’s wedding design carries over into their cake, and this creative confection from Buttercream Bakeshop was UNREAL! Served up on our Conrad Vintage Amber Cake Stand, the moody cake was a perfect match for the couple’s modern, industrial vibe. The cake was served with one of our Jolee assorted gold-plated cake servers and guests were served their slice alongside our Kai Black Lucite Flatware.
Thank you for coming on this colorful, modern journey with us as we looked back on Katherine & Ross’ beautiful day! Filled with so many unique rental pieces, their industrial chic wedding was one for the books. They had us at gin cocktails!
