Divya & Sam || A Colorful, Disco-Inspired Wedding at Dock5

Dock5 is one of our all-time favorite venues- because it’s such a blank slate, couples really get the opportunity to customize it. It’s always so much fun to see a couple bring their personality to the space, and this colorful, disco-inspired wedding is no exception. I mean, it incorporates so many of our favorite things! Tinsel? Check! Bold colors? Obvi! Disco balls? You bet! Cheers Darling had such a fun vision for Divya & Sam’s big day, and we loved helping bring it to life!

In addition to cocktail tables, a comfy seating area was set up at cocktail hour for guests to lounge on. Inspired by Sophie Felts’ beautiful floral arrangements, the seating area was comprised of blush and gold hues. Not only did this color combo feel cool and fresh, but we love how the design of the Zazu Chairs perfectly complemented the channel back design of our Josie Settee! The finishing touch? Our Olga Swivel Coffee Table decked out with dainty arrangements courtesy of Sophie Felts!

At the reception, drinks were served up on our Blagden 12′ Bar! Paired with our Dabney Circular Bar Back, the Blagden was the perfect statement piece for this couple’s fun, disco-inspired vibe. To make it picture-perfect, the bar was topped off with colorful flowers, lots of glassware, and whimsical decor. Personal touches like these miniature felt versions of the couples’ dogs injected a dose of playfulness throughout the night!

Cheers Darling helped anchor the couple’s colorful palette with black accents. This carried over into the table settings where colorful arrangements by Sophie Felts were contrasted with sleek black candlestick holders and our Nero Black Flatware. For glassware, the couple opted for a combination of our clear Sensa Wine Glasses and colorful champagne coupes. The rich yellow hue of our Ray Champagne Coupes complemented the flowers perfectly and added a much-needed pop of color to the place settings!

For dinner, Cheers Darling opted for an assortment of tables and chairs. In addition to a mix of round and rectangular tables covered in bold linens, long rows of our Waterfront Tables were set up as well. Tables were paired with a combination of our Mia and Ace Chairs. Inspired by French designer Philippe Starck, the fluid lines and space-age aesthetic of the chairs were perfectly in line with the bold design choices incorporated throughout the reception space.

Who says a bar can only be used as a bar? We love it when clients get creative with our pieces! More and more, we’re seeing our bars used to create stylish and unique DJ booths. Petite bars like the Blagden 5′ Bar pictured here are a popular option, but we’ve also seen clients use 7′ and 12′ bars. No matter what size you choose, these bars definitely elevate the traditional DJ booth!
