The Conrad DC was the perfect canvas for this modern art-inspired wedding industry event! Inspired by the Conrad’s love of modern art, the talented team at Grit & Grace painted the Falling Flowers Gallery in primary colors. The bold color palette transformed the space by setting monochromatic tables for this industry dinner attended by some of Washington, DC’s most talented vendors.
Unleashing the Palette: An Explosion of Colors at the Conrad DC
We transformed our slatted dining tables for this modern art-inspired dinner! Painted in hues of red, yellow, and blue, the tables were the base for this monochromatic look. Each table was topped off with place settings, menus, and elaborate florals all in the same bold hue. The event’s unique use of color transformed the space and created an atmosphere that was both lively and visually stunning.
Daring and Bold: Colorful Place Settings for the Modern Bride
Place settings were a feast for the eyes, brimming with bold and vibrant colors. The primary color palette was a mix of bright blue, sunny yellow, and fiery red. These colors were used in a variety of elements and each table was topped with matching elements. By keeping the florals, placemats, and china monochromatic, Grit & Grace created a cohesive yet striking look. Blue tables were topped with our Clemente Split Blue Charger Plates. Yellow tables were paired with our Citrine Bright Yellow Charger Plates, and red tables featured our Courtland Handmade Red Charger Plates. Each look was tied together with sleek, modern flatware. Our Torin Chrome Flatware combined with our Sensa Clear Glassware to add a touch of elegance to the bold, colorful place settings.
Chic Seats: Elevating Your Event with Unique Rentals
Tables were paired with chic chairs fit for an art gallery. Our Slade White Boucle and Black Dining Chairs helped to elevate the look and their modern lines were perfect for this modern art-inspired dinner. A cozy seating area was also set up so guests had a spot to lounge. Boucle pieces like our Teddy White Boucle Sofa, Ruxpin White Boucle Settee, and Barack White Boucle Swivel Chairs complemented the dining chairs. The crisp white fabric kept things feeling clean and modern, and striped pillows in primary colors tied everything together. Pieces were centered around our Excelsa Black Bean Coffee Tables which fit right in with the artistic aesthetic.
Strokes of Genius: An Artistic Take on Modern Wedding Decor
Grit & Grace opted to anchor the space with a big statement bar. To achieve the look, we painted our Van Gogh Half Moon Custom Color Bar bright white and colorful decals inspired by the Conrad’s branding were attached to each section. Guests were served drinks in glassware that pulled from the event’s primary color palette too. A mix of our Crimson Assorted Red Glass Goblets, Lapis Blue Tulip Wine Glasses, and Ray Estelle Yellow Champagne Coupes matched the palette perfectly!
Vibrant Aesthetics: Crafting a Modern Art-Inspired Dinner
Adding to the art-inspired theme, Emily Baird designed colorful, modern menus and placemats. The abstract designs made the paper goods feel like art in-and-of-themselves. Designed in the same primary color palette, they complemented the tables beautifully and helped take the place settings to the next level. Seriously, we’re in awe!
Working with the incredible team at Grit & Grace always feels like a dream and this industry dinner was no exception! You know we love color, so working with planners who embrace bold design and vibrant hues is so. much. fun. We hope you loved the design as much as we do. If nothing else, it’s taught us that imagination and unique event rentals can transform any space into something unexpected, beautiful, and bold!
