Has the past week’s cold snap left anyone else dreaming of summer?! In an attempt to manifest warmer weather, we’re throwing it back to this beachside summer soirée in Cape May, NJ! Hosted at a private residence on the water, this gorgeous gathering elevates traditional beach-y decor. A mix of earthy pieces, midcentury lines, and bold pops of color create an effect that is both laid-back and fun.
It’s a myth that bar backs can only be paired with our bars!
We love it when people get creative with our pieces, like this chic shelving display created with our Woodley 12′ Bar Back. Designed with curves in all the right places, we built our Woodley shelves in-house with gorgeous natural wood. Paired here with one of our Maya Jute Rugs, the curved lines and natural finish of the Woodley were perfect for the laid-back vibe of this beachside summer soirée.
In addition to a long rectangular table, smaller tables with linens were set up with our Oaxaca Chairs. Crafted from tanned pigskin and Mexican cedar strips, these handmade barrel chairs brought the cool factor! Highboys were also scattered throughout so guests could set down their drinks. Our Birdie Cocktail Tables were perfect for the beachside setting, and we love the greenery Always Beautiful placed inside. So creative!
To create a nice flow, a few different bars were scattered throughout the event space.
On the patio, House of Catherine opted to use part of our Wallace 12′ Bar. The Wallace’s natural wood finish and caned panels were perfect for the beach-y vibe! To keep things feeling light and airy, they paired the Wallace with our Scout White Bamboo Bar Back.
Earthy elements were a major theme throughout this event’s decor, but pops of color helped keep things feeling lively and fun! On the lower patio, our Rosewood Petite Bar made for the cutest cigar and tequila station. A cozy seating area was set up next to the Rosewood so guests had a spot to lounge. Our Lennox Sofa was paired with a couple of black rattan chairs and Baughman Coffee Table. The woven texture of our Maya Jute Rug helped tie everything together!
Pics or it didn’t happen!
IMO, every good party needs a killer backdrop for guests to pose in front of. For this bash by the beach, we created a lush, over-the-top grass wall. Decked out with life-like asparagus ferns, Boston ferns, spider plants, and succulents, this baby looks real even close up! Available in both 8’ and 12’ configurations, you can choose the Brunei Tropical Wall that works best for your space.
Best. DJ. Booth. Ever.
House of Catherine worked with Eventions Productions to transform the pool into this chic, glossy white dance floor. They set up our Starburst 11′ Lime Green Bar at the head of the dance floor with the ocean as its backdrop. I mean, is this not the best DJ booth ever?! To really set the vibe, we hung our Alma Bamboo Pendant Lights overhead. It does not get any better than this, people!
We loved taking this walk down memory lane & can’t wait for more sun-kissed events in 2023. Who’s with us?! Only 174 days to go ’til summer! 🥶
