For their stylish summer wedding, Carly and Charles wanted their guests to feel like they were at a cozy dinner party. When it came to choosing a venue, the self-proclaimed Francophiles were drawn to the French-inspired architecture of Meridian House. With just the right blend of très chic rentals—including black rattan chairs and terracotta plates—the couple transformed their intimate wedding into a Parisian paradise, right in the heart of Washington DC!
From Ordinary to Extraordinary: How to Infuse Your Wedding With French Flair
Cocktail hour was hosted in Meridian House’s Linden Grove, and featured round tables paired with our black bentwood chairs. For the escort card display, Grit & Grace dreamed up a modern take on a French apothecary. To bring the look to life, we customized our Lucien Black Shelf Set by adding caning to the back. Shelves were topped with flower frogs under miniature cloches which were displayed with an assortment of our vintage books!
Turning Your Wedding Into a Cozy Dinner Party: Inspiration From a Stylish Summer Wedding
Carly and Charles wanted their day to feel intimate and relaxed. They achieved this by creating a cozy, dinner party-like atmosphere with a small guest list, long communal tables, and a focus on conversation and connection! Tables were paired with our Nikola Black Rattan Dining Chairs, which tied in with the black caned bar that took center stage in the dining room.
Effortless Elegance: Setting a Chic French-Inspired Wedding Table
The couple embraced a color palette that leaned towards warm, muted tones. These hues took center stage in the table settings! Paired with rattan chargers, our Amarillo Terracotta Plates felt simultaneously earthy and sophisticated. To complete the look, plates were paired with our Ema Brass and White Flatware, Montie Clear Fluted Glassware, and rustic, handmade salt cellars. The result was perfect for this couple’s intimate, laid-back vibe!
For their stylish summer wedding, this couple combined elegance and simplicity, with a focus on good food, good company, and a beautiful setting. Their French-inspired nuptials felt like a beautiful dinner party, warm and inviting just like them!
