I was so honored to come with Anne Robert (of Anne Robert Photography) to shoot the legendary Matthew Robbins Design in action at his NYC studio for Style Me Pretty. Obviously, I am not a photographer, I was just tagging along to help Anne and to get inspired to by Matthew’s incredible eye for designing florals and tablescapes. He just published a new book that you can find at Amazon and at Anthropologie stores. It turns out that we share a love for vintage finds as he uses eclectic pieces in the majority of his tablescapes…and of course I am obsessed with this!

Matthew, Anne, and I
I love how he arranged his containers by color on his shelves and had beautiful flowers mixed in for pops of color. I love how he arranged his containers by color on his shelves and had beautiful flowers mixed in for pops of color.
Check out all of these silver containers! And I thought that I had a lot of silver…
This is one of the vignettes he created for the shoot. The paper is from vintage velvet ribbon. It is such an ingenious addition!

Our colorful heels and flowers
Thanks again to Matthew Robbins and his awesome staff for a wonderful shoot and day in NYC. It was such an honor to work with you and with Anne Robert. Hopefully, Something Vintage can expand to service NYC in the near future.
