We had the opportunity to collaborate with some of our all-time favorite vendors for a stylish editorial for Modern Luxury Magazine! Designed to promote the new event space at the National Portrait Gallery, this amazing table set-up dreamed up by the crazy talented gals at Grit & Grace was allll about Frida Kahlo. Think midcentury modern meets desert vibes meets vivid colors! These our some of our absolute favorite design elements, and we were super psyched to break out some of our brand new pieces and debut them in this amazing editorial!
The focal point of the set-up was one of our Kalorama Black Tables topped off with our Union Metal Truss. We adorned the truss with an assortment of vintage amber lights and rattan lanterns, plus lush florals by Sweet Root Village! As soon as Grit & Grace explained their inspo to us, we knew we had to incorporate our new Wye Wishbone Chairs. Their honey-colored finish perfectly contrasted the black farm table, plus they incorporated the midcentury vibe we were all going for! Details like our bright kilim rugs, jute chargers and colorful mixed vintage goblets were the perfect finishing touches. All in all, we couldn’t be more excited with how this editorial turned out, and we can’t wait to get into the National Portrait Gallery for some real events in the very near future. We hope you love these pics as much as we do!! ✌🏻
A dramatic iron truss + all the boho lanterns + mid century wishbone chairs + colorful rugs = all of our favorite things! 😍Seriously, we could not be more in love with this set-up. Amazing florals by Sweet Root Village in bright hues of red, orange, and purple were just the icing on the cake!
This photo basically leaves us speechless, but we’ll power through and try to put into words just how in love we are with this amazing combo of textures and color! Grit & Grace topped off our jute chargers with painted palms, gorgeous china from Maison de Carine, and the coolest custom menus by Saima Says Design. The over-the-top mix of hues and textures comes together so beautifully for a positively picture perfect result!
Fun accents like our vintage rugs (you can spot our Shiva, Rami, and Aziz above!) and oversized bird cage helped to pull everything together. Bold accents like these kept the vibe whimsical and fun, tying in perfectly with the Frida Kahlo inspiration that started it all!
