Last weekend, I got to throw an over-the-top, fun, and girly baby shower for my BFF, and I’m SO excited to share the photos with you below! Working at Something Vintage made things pretty simple! I based the party’s color palette around the invitation suite– for the most part, I wanted it to be fairly neutral with pops of color. Think lots of whites, soft blush hues and metallic accents with bright pops here and there! I knew right away I wanted to incorporate pieces like our Dupont Whitewashed Farm Table to create a chic buffet, and our Penny Copper Stools were the perfect way to bring in those pops of metallic I wanted. I always trust Dawn’s vision and everything she touches turns out sooo amazing, so I kept it in the SVR fam for florals too. She created multiple lush arrangements in addition to a super pretty floral crown for the mom-to-be. All in all, the day was picture perfect and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Now we just have to wait as we count down the days ’til baby Gates arrives!
Did you know Dawn can also make kick a$$ florals?! She has been taking on more and more floral jobs in the past year, and we’re so excited to see where 2019 takes her! This baby shower had a fairly neutral color palette- ivory and blush with metallic accents- so I really wanted to bring in some bright color with the florals. Dawn stepped up and incorporated pops of pink, red, yellow, and orange. The arrangements were full of gorgeous peonies and poppies (hello, new favorite flower!) as well as lush greens and some dreamy spray roses. All in all, the flowers were exactly what I was looking for, and went perfectly with the overall design of the event!
A couple of weeks before the shower, Dawn texted me and asked if I would be interested in a fringe backdrop for the shower. Obviously, the only acceptable response was “Yeah, DUH!” This backdrop kind of became the centerpiece of the whole shindig! It was displayed front and center with one of our Penny Copper Stools and a combo of our Maya and Luna Rugs. As the party progressed, it was the perfect spot for all of the guests to pose for photos in front of!
On the way out, guests were handed pink bubbly to pop in celebration when baby Gates arrives! Custom labels by Label with Love made the favors even more special, and Nika from Calligraphette Co. worked her magic on a copper sign to tie everything together!
